Ron Paul Revolution on the Fifth of November

5 November, 2007 by Matt Robison

Today will prove that Ron Paul is not a lower-tier candidate. His message is not “fringe”, but actually resonates with a large segment of the American people, the original attitude of freedom that used to run so thick through our blood.

In 18 hours, over 30,000 individual doners have contributed over 3.2 million dollars. These are actually hard numbers of credit card charges. Not just pledges as the mainstream media (CNN) would have you believe.

People are fed up, and they’re willing to put their wallets where their blogs and mouths have been for so long. More than anything, I think they recognize it as an investment.

Just looking at myself, if I didn’t have to pay income tax, I would have an extra $8,000 dollars from last year alone to play with. And that money would go to grow my businesses and investments, with a significant slice to give to the poor.

If I gave just $200 dollars to Ron Paul and looked at it as a business decision, that’s a HUGE potential 4000% ROI! Well worth the risk.

How many people living paycheck to paycheck could use an extra $5,000 to $15,000 a year? How many people could that help lift out of despair and poverty, just by ensuring that they receive the full fruits of their labor?

I’ll do an update of this post about this Fifth of November fundraising surge after Midnight CST for the final numbers.

And the numbers continue to grow. This is simply unheard of.

It’s more amazing when you think that this push is just a grass-roots effort, with no affiliation with the official campaign. Individuals, voluntarily coming together for a common goal, is truly a beautiful sight to behold.

Who says anarchy can’t work? ;)

UPDATE: The final total is 4.2 Million dollars in the last 24 hours. It didn’t quote break the single day fundraising record(Hillary and Obama have earned more), but it sure beat the pants off of Romney, and that’s got to be a good sign.

    Great post and blog.

Just curious… I wonder if you ever have the same frustration as I do? As a pastor of a large church, I have close to 1,000 readers a day on my blog, but still have a very low authority on Technorati. I’ve learned that this is because I don’t have enough links to my site.

Why does this matter? Because I want to start reaching out to people beyond just the church, and to do that I need to get this blog up higher on the search engines.

I was wondering if you would be willing to put in a link exchange with me at www.robsingleton.net. If so, please send me an email to robtherev@gmail.com showing me where you’ve linked it and I will do the same.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Actually, commenting, you just added yourself a link on my site due to the Top Commentators plugin. That will get you a link on every page of my site.

As to readership, I would love to have 1000 per day! But I can understand the need to reach out. I’m about to start posting articles at ezinearticles.com to get some additional exposure and backlinks. I hear it’s a great tactic.

Also, commenting on other blogs helps. I would never have even heard of you if you hadn’t done so. But now I’ll continue to check out your blog.
